NICOLE DOCKREY, D.V.M.

Dr. Nicole Dockrey is an alumnus of Carleton College in Northfield, MN, and graduated cum laude and Phi Zeta as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She has experience in general companion animal practice and with Eli Lilly and Company pharmaceuticals, but has focused on companion animal emergency and critical care medicine for the past five years. Dr. Dockrey consulted and taught tactical veterinary medicine for the Cypress Creek EMS Advanced Tactical Team for seven years, and also taught this subject on a limited basis for medics in the U.S. Army and National Guard. She served as the secretary for the Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Association for four years, and has been the president of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association for two years. Dr. Dockrey is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Academy of Pain Management, and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. She is also a member of the Primary/Secondary Care Advisory Committee for the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Dockrey loves living in Austin, TX with her husband and young son, and enjoys reading fiction, live music, and mountain biking.

Dr. Anders Kulhavy

Dr. Kulhavy grew up in Nacodgoches, TX and attended Texas Christian University where he graduated with a Biology degree in 2000.  He then attended Texas A&M for veterinary school graduating Cum Laude in 2004.  He has practiced emergency medicine exclusively for the past 7 years.  Professional interests include managing critical patients and emergency surgery.  He has been a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the American Vetarinary Medical Association, Texas Vetarinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management.    Dr. Kulhavy has called Austin home for 6 years.  Outside of work he has a passion for travel and has visted over 30 countries.  This includes volunteering at animal sanctuaries in India and Thailand.   

Dr. Brady Bennet

Dr. Brady Bennett grew up on a small farm near Griggsville, Illinois and received a major in Biology from Illinois State University.  Dr. Bennett graduated Veterinary School from the University of Missouri, where he developed a passion for emergency medicine and small animal surgery.  His specific professional interests include: neurology, dermatology, trauma, and wound management.  Dr. Bennett is a practicing member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and hopes to become involved with the local Veterinary Medical Association very soon. When not working he enjoys spending time with his family, playing softball, and is in constant pursuit of his goal to hike in as many State and National Parks as possible

Dr Meredith Hobbs

Meredith Hobbs was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee.  She attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama and then applied to veterinary school a year early.  She then attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM there.  She completed a small animal rotating internship at Central Texas Veterinary Specialty Hospital in May of 2011.  Her professional interests include small animal dermatology, small animal surgery, and emergency medicine.  Her hobbies include watching Auburn football, entertaining her two dogs, Lady and Sky, running, playing soccer, water sports, and listening to live music

Dr. Sarah Cocker

 

Dr. Sarah Cocker is from the suburbs of Houston, Texas. She earned her BS in biochemistry and molecular biology and earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University. Her professional interests include small animal internal medicine, cardiology, and neurology. She shares her home with her Jack Russell mix, Safari, her cat, Tabitha, and her three-legged rabbit, Hazel.  

Dr. Laura Loftin

Dr. Laura Loftin graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Loftin loves all aspects of veterinary medicine; however, she is particularly interested in small animal surgery.  She enjoys horseback riding, water sports, fishing, traveling, and skydiving.  With her recent move to Austin, she is looking forward to discovering everything the great state of Texas has to offer.  Dr Loftin is   currently engaged, and has two amazing dogs, Dakota and Diesel. 

Dr Andy Scott

Dr. Andy Scott grew up in the suburbs of Denver, CO. He then went to Colorado State University and received his bachelor's degree in microbiology and performed research in the areas of malaria, cancer and chronic wasting disease. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University as a member of the Phi Zeta honor society. His professional interests include emergency medicine and surgery with a specific interest in trauma medicine. He likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and snowboarding (though it looks like he may have to take up wakeboarding instead). He also spends time cooking and playing with his dog Jackson and cat Pojken.

Dr Ankur Gupta

Dr Ankur Gupta received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Penn State University. His professional interests include wildlife/exotics, surgery, and radiology. He shares his household with a Great Pyrenees, Sigmund, and three cats ~ Layla, Delilah, and J.J.  His favorite hobbies include playing and following sports, especially basketball. Dr Gupta is engaged to a gal named Tiffany, who is the director of animal care at a wildlife sanctuary. 

Dr Dana Tedesco

Dr. Dana Tedesco grew up in the Detroit area. Born and raised a Wolverine, she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan. She attended veterinary school at Michigan State University, where she graduated with honors. Her professional interests include preventive medicine and infectious diseases, as well as avian and reptile medicine. She has a Beagle-Corgi mix Gertie and a ring-necked dove named Francis.  In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and reading.

Dr Rachel Friedman

Dr. Rachel Friedman is an Owings Mills, Maryland native. She went to college at the University of Maryland and received her veterinary degree at The Ohio State University.  She has a longhaired Dachshund and 2 cats and enjoys horseback riding, cooking, rock climbing, and hiking. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, neurology, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.
